Word of God
Word of God
Written by: Ayman Al-Atoum
The novel discusses the idea of Christian and Islamic religious fanaticism, and tries to show the outcome of the situation when an individual in society cannot tolerate his partner in it, and each party cancels the other party. On the other hand, the novel strives to establish the idea of dialogue, a calm dialogue that may change convictions and alter alignments. It sees this dialogue as the only way to advance societies and get rid of some legacies that are based on customs and traditions more than principles and ideas.
The endings drawn by the novel show the severity of the outcome that the characters of the novel reach due to the absence of accepting and listening to the other. It sheds light on some facts that are absent from the minds of members of society due to their absence or absence from reality, and reveals some brutal practices committed against those who believe in a new religion or a different belief.
