Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawzi

Through this book, Ibn al-Qayyim addresses the issues of the human soul and its roles, and draws ways to reform and purify it. He explains the meaning of disobedience, its causes, and its effects on the soul and society, and its consequences in this world and the hereafter. His treatment of this subject was characterized by accuracy and extreme objectivity. He was a social scientist and a keen educator who knows the secrets of the human psyche, its nature and tendencies, identifies the causes of the disease that afflicted it, and then proceeds to prescribe the appropriate medicine through the provisions of the Sharia and its space.
